Greenland PM Rejects Trump’s Offer to Send U.S. Hospital Ship
The Prime Minister of Greenland, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, has refused an offer by President Donald Trump to send a U.S. hospital ship to the territory. Trump said on social media that the ship was needed to help "many sick people" who were not being taken care of, but Nielsen explained that Greenland has a successful public healthcare system where treatment is free. This is the latest development in the tensions that have arisen due to Trump’s repeated interest in taking over Greenland. The Danish government also supported Greenland, saying that their healthcare system is based on equality and not wealth or insurance.
